Aside from grad trips to Washington and New York City, and basketball tournaments and social trips to Montreal and Toronto, Yitzhak Rabin High School is delighted to have the opportunity to integrate the following exciting and intellectually stimulating trips into our educational program:
Israel Trip – Grades 9-12
Yitzhak Rabin High School believes that there is no better way to learn about the history, geopolitical situation, and cultural events in Israel than to travel there and spend two weeks with Israeli high school students (thanks to Partnership 2000, a United Israel Appeal funded program). At Yitzhak Rabin High School, we want our students to hear the many different personal stories that their Israeli counterparts have to tell, and to integrate them into their lives. We want them to grapple with the meaning of these stories, develop relationships based on a definite point of view, and respond passionately to these firsthand experiences.
Holocaust Education Trip to Washington – Grade 9
Over the past four years, Yitzhak Rabin High School has had the privilege of participating in the Asper Foundation Holocaust and Human Rights Studies Program. This program involves 16 hours of study on issues related to Holocaust and Human Rights, and a four day trip to Washington D.C. to the United States Holocaust Museum.
In Washington the grade nine students have an opportunity to meet and socialize with other Jewish and non-Jewish students from across Canada on the same program.
